Adis says:At the height of its popularity, Walt Kelly used to draw little vignettes featuring his Pogo characters that would serve as ads for a particular newspaper. This is a riff on my favorite one, that had Cherchy-La-Femme the turtle standing on top of that pedestal. For those of you interested in reading a bit more Pogo, here's a link to the official site.
