I had all the intention of drawing the spider in the strip, but I forgot somehow. It works better that way, with the spider being a looming presence in their lives. Besides, if I had put it in today's strip, people might think it might become a regular cast member.
Oh, and yes, due to an inexplicably popular demand, my rants accompanying every strip are back. So much for my trying to be mysterious.
